I recently attended a conference in San Diego, CA, and I was strolling through the Gaslamp Quarter to find a place to have lunch. There was a long line of customers spilling out of the door of this restaurant, and as I peeked at the plates of some of the customers, it looked like a good place to stop in for lunch. I was delightfully satisfied with this new discovery. Burger Lounge served incredibly fresh food with great flavor and excellent service. I had the salmon burger and shared the onion rings and fries with a friend. The plates were generously portioned and clearly made with high quality products. The restaurant has also invested in a high tech beeper system that you plug in at your table after ordering your food. The servers can then locate where you are seated on their computer system and will bring the food right to you. The beepers also show on their computer screen how long the customers have waited for their food and Burger Lounge makes it a goal not to have customers wait longer than 8 minutes. I returned to this restaurant a second time for lunch during my stay...it was that stellar!
