Stop to eat flavorful Brazilian food at Moqueca Restaurant in Thousand Oaks, CA (also located in Oxnard, CA). Pictured here is their signature clay pot with shrimp - a hot bubbling vessel filled with a rich broth with a coconut milk base. Generous portions of delicious, authentic food! A fantastic dining experience! |

D'Amores Pizza doesn't just serve stellar pizza. I would actually STOP TO EAT at any of their locations because they serve a wide variety of exceptional dishes. Their garlic knots are irresistible, the pizza is crisp and delicious, their salads are chopped well and filled with fresh items, and their cannoli is homemade and outstanding! This is a family owned establishment that is dedicated to a high standard of excellence. Definitely worth the stop!
La Golondrina Café located on Olvera Street is a real gem in Downtown LA. The service is outstanding, the food is amazing, and the ambiance is delightful! Homemade tortillas are stellar, the chile relleno is incredible, and the margaritas make the perfect end to a hot day in LA.
The food was unique and delicious. Using farm fresh products, Blue Cow Kitchen serves exceptional cuisine at reasonable prices. A real gem in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles!
Malibu Seafood is honestly one of my favorite stellar stops. The surroundings are beautiful, just across the street from the Pacific Ocean and with outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air. The manager shared that the top 3 popular items are: 1) the fish & chips, 2) the clam chowder, and 3) the chicken strips (for the non-seafood crowd). I also enjoy the fried shrimp here as well. You really can't go wrong with anything that you order! Generous portions, absolutely delicious food, and reasonable prices. There is a special discount for the Pepperdine community, which is a kind gesture on the part of the management. I HIGHLY recommend that you try this stellar stop!
Website: http://exnovobrew.com/#home2326 N Flint Ave Portland, OR 97227 I have not visited this restaurant myself, but this stellar stop was contributed by my dear friend Jeff. He says "Yam and bacon at Ex Novo Brewing Company in Portland, OR. Non-profit brewing company owned by my brother's buddy. Ridiculously good." Thanks for the tip, Jeff! When in Boston...you are supposed to eat a lobstah roll and clam chowdah! They do it well. And the best part about it is that you don't have to spend a lot of money doing it or go to a fancy restaurant. Boston Chowda Co. is part of the food court at the Prudential Center. Their special included a lobster roll, small cup of soup, and a small soda or water. How much you ask? Only $16.99, which comes to $18.18 with tax. There's so much lobster in the roll that I am full before finishing it, but I feel guilty if I leave all this lobster meat. Must. Eat. More. The bun is buttered and toasted--it is perfect! And the chowder is creamy and delish! #bostonstrong |
