Malibu Seafood is honestly one of my favorite stellar stops. The surroundings are beautiful, just across the street from the Pacific Ocean and with outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air. The manager shared that the top 3 popular items are: 1) the fish & chips, 2) the clam chowder, and 3) the chicken strips (for the non-seafood crowd). I also enjoy the fried shrimp here as well. You really can't go wrong with anything that you order! Generous portions, absolutely delicious food, and reasonable prices. There is a special discount for the Pepperdine community, which is a kind gesture on the part of the management. I HIGHLY recommend that you try this stellar stop!
When in Boston...you are supposed to eat a lobstah roll and clam chowdah! They do it well. And the best part about it is that you don't have to spend a lot of money doing it or go to a fancy restaurant. Boston Chowda Co. is part of the food court at the Prudential Center. Their special included a lobster roll, small cup of soup, and a small soda or water. How much you ask? Only $16.99, which comes to $18.18 with tax. There's so much lobster in the roll that I am full before finishing it, but I feel guilty if I leave all this lobster meat. Must. Eat. More. The bun is buttered and toasted--it is perfect! And the chowder is creamy and delish! #bostonstrong
When I go to Roy's Hawaiian Fusion, I know that I can always count on incredible food and excellent service. I always feel special when I go to this restaurant. They pay attention to details. For example, when I have visited the restaurant for a birthday or anniversary, they have printed a special menu with my name on it. I leave the restaurant not only satisfied with a great meal but an amazing dining experience.
For first-timers, I recommend their combination meals, like their fish trio to sample a little bit of everything. They also have tasty Bento boxes with generous portions. But you MUST order the pineapple upside down cake for dessert! It's stellar! Summer Shack Restaurant 50 Dalton Street Boston, MA 02115 (617) 867-9955 http://www.summershackrestaurant.com/ This is how you do lobstah! All the food--lobster, fried shrimp, lobster roll, clam chowdah--it was all so fresh! Prompt service, and what I loved the most that I don't regularly see at restaurants is that the servers cleared our table after we ate so that we were not eating our desserts and enjoying our coffee while having seafood scraps and plates laying around. It was just the east coast lobster experience we were looking for...casual, clean, and delicious! Malibu Seafood Fresh Fish Market and Patio Cafe 25653 Pacific Coast Highway Malibu, CA 90265 (310) 456-3430 http://www.malibuseafood.com/ When you are driving up the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in Malibu, you may notice this sign and the tiny little cafe and patio next to it. If you've never stopped to eat there, then you may not know that this little cafe serves some of the most delicious seafood you've ever eaten! Generous portions of fried shrimp, clams, crispy french fries, creamy clam chowder--they have all your seafood favorites! Besides the tasty food, you will also enjoy the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean just across the street. I have seen this restaurant featured in travel magazines too. It is a California gem! |
