Stop to eat flavorful Brazilian food at Moqueca Restaurant in Thousand Oaks, CA (also located in Oxnard, CA). Pictured here is their signature clay pot with shrimp - a hot bubbling vessel filled with a rich broth with a coconut milk base.
Generous portions of delicious, authentic food! A fantastic dining experience!
Carrara Pastries (Moorpark, CA)
Stop to eat at Carrara Pastries and cool yourself off on a hot summer day with their amazing gelato. This is a real treat!
D'Amores Pizza doesn't just serve stellar pizza. I would actually STOP TO EAT at any of their locations because they serve a wide variety of exceptional dishes. Their garlic knots are irresistible, the pizza is crisp and delicious, their salads are chopped well and filled with fresh items, and their cannoli is homemade and outstanding! This is a family owned establishment that is dedicated to a high standard of excellence. Definitely worth the stop!
La Golondrina Café (Downtown LA)
La Golondrina Café located on Olvera Street is a real gem in Downtown LA. The service is outstanding, the food is amazing, and the ambiance is delightful! Homemade tortillas are stellar, the chile relleno is incredible, and the margaritas make the perfect end to a hot day in LA.
Blue Cow Kitchen (Los Angeles, CA)
The food was unique and delicious. Using farm fresh products, Blue Cow Kitchen serves exceptional cuisine at reasonable prices. A real gem in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles!
I love the hometown feel of this coffee shop! They serve their coffee in delightful large mugs. The motto of the shop is to inspire, build-up, build resistance, overcome, and collaborate SEVEN days a week! I ordered the avocado toast which was prepared with a generous helping of avocado and full of flavor. I hope that this coffee shop thrives!
Malibu Seafood (Malibu, CA)
Malibu Seafood is honestly one of my favorite stellar stops. The surroundings are beautiful, just across the street from the Pacific Ocean and with outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air. The manager shared that the top 3 popular items are: 1) the fish & chips, 2) the clam chowder, and 3) the chicken strips (for the non-seafood crowd). I also enjoy the fried shrimp here as well. You really can't go wrong with anything that you order! Generous portions, absolutely delicious food, and reasonable prices. There is a special discount for the Pepperdine community, which is a kind gesture on the part of the management. I HIGHLY recommend that you try this stellar stop!
Rose Café (Santa Barbara, CA)
Looking for the best restaurant in Santa Barbara? Craving a taco? or an enchilada? Look no further! RUN to Rose Café. Just do it. You can't explain how crispy the taco is, or how they can afford to put so much guacamole on their signature Tacos Guadalajara, but go and try to figure it out yourself. You will leave feeling satisfied and full. The service is outstanding and the food is delicioso! Gracias, Rose Café! I'll be back for sure!
This was one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had! Every dish was absolutely delicious! This new concept for wine tasting is amazing - you purchase a wine card and add as much money to it as you wish. Then you swipe the card after selecting which wine you want to taste or drink at various machines throughout the restaurant. There are 1, 3, and 5 ounce pours that are priced according to the overall price of the bottle of wine. So, if a bottle of wine usually sells for $100, then you can have a 1 oz. taste of it for a few dollars, rather than paying for a full glass or a full bottle. It's genius! The overall combination of the wine machines, the exquisite ambiance, and the incredible food make this clearly a stellar stop!
