Buying movie tickets through Costco is a definite savings. I recently wanted to treat some company to a movie at a special theater that was rather expensive. I also do not like paying convenience fees when buying tickets online and found out that if I join AMC Stubs (free), movietickets.com will waive the convenience fee for AMC theaters.

Costco also offers electronic gift cards for AMC theaters online (https://www.costco.com/AMC-4-Pack-Movie-eTickets.product.100303566.html) but you cannot buy your actual seats online. You must go to the movie theater to purchase the seats, even though you can print the e-tickets at home.

No one wants to spend $12.50 or more on a movie ticket. Most towns seem to have some type of discount theater, and the Simi Valley 10 Discount Theaters are a great option. Tickets are generally $4.50, and the movies may be a little older, but may still be ones that you have not seen. It's a great night out with family or for a date.

If you are a Costco member, sometimes you forget some of the member benefits. One of our local cinemas is the Regal theater, and movies there can be $12.50 per ticket. If you purchase the tickets via Costco online, you can print the tickets from home and a pack of 4 tickets is only $33.99. So, if you are thinking of going to the movies at Regal Cinemas, you might take advantage of your Costco membership!
