Given the infinite buffet table of tools and technology to try out in the classroom, how do you decide what's worth your and your students' time? Without some kind of criteria guiding our selection, we'll spend years building up a dusty closet of tools that looked good, promised a lot, and didn't deliver. Inspiring words from Kid President to help BUILD YOUR AWESOME!
There’s plenty of reasons to dance, you just gotta’ look for them. You should give people high 5’s just for getting out of bed. Just treat everybody like it’s their birthday, even if it’s not. The biggest mess-up, not forgiving each other’s mess-ups. Take brain pictures. It’s not about what you do, it’s about who you are. YOU! You’re awesome! You are made that way. You are made from love to be loved to spread love. Love is always louder, no matter what! Even if hate has a blowhorn, love is louder! So let your LIFE be loud! I’m really glad you are here. We don’t say that enough to each other here Kai always puts a smile on my face and brings me joy. I hope he does the same for you. Takes you down memory lane again and always makes you smile. I'll be surprised if this doesn't make you tap your feet or smile even just a little bit. Sometimes you just need to stop to watch something that makes you laugh! So, here you go: Sometimes you just have to make fun of how technology has changed our culture and our speech. The beauty of music. A simple and wonderful pleasure. I have attended MANY keynote addresses, and sadly few are memorable. When this keynote address ended, I wanted the speaker to keep speaking. I wish more teachers would thinking about what learning really is, like Dr. Musallam has done here! |
